What is a Blue Monday Moment?
For a long time I’ve bored all my friends with a story about the first time I heard the song Blue Monday by New Order. That memory means a lot to me. Every time I hear that song, I’m back in that 6th Form Common Room staring at that tatty brown record player with its raffia speaker listening to that amazing song. And of course, it's not just memories about that song. I have songs are etched into my brain as they are linked to a certain special moments in my life. Some of the songs that remind me of a certain moment in time that perhaps I don’t even like. It's just when I ever I hear them, I’m back in that garage building that car or driving with my friend Andy. And if it’s like that for me, it must be the same for everyone else? So that when you think about it, your whole life becomes scenes from a movie; the good scenes, the bad scenes, the happy scenes, the sad scenes, the silly scenes, all of them scored to a selection of songs. It's like no one can hear “In Your Eyes,” without picturing John Cusack holding a beatbox in the pouring rain or hear “Oh Yeah!” without seeing Fry & Cameron in his father’s garage or any scene from nearly any Tarantino film. & that’s the idea powering this site.

Recently I managed to get my hands on a proper car for the first time in a long time. Convertible, six cylinder, manual, nice....
So I decided to take it for a hoon early on a Sunday morning before I had to give it back. Now, round where I live there are some major roadworks and despite it being 6.00am I was stuck behind some sandwich truck as I trundled through the average speed limit when this came on the Ipod.
And at exactly 0:51 when it all goes loud was exactly when I cleared the road works, dropped it down a couple of gears, bye Mr Sandwich Van in a roar of exhaust noise.
Oh I remember now, that's why I like fast cars. And very large grin for the rest of the day.
